It has just come to my attention that I have one of the yardages listed incorrectly on my Flower Power pattern! It is the Sunseekers Night (Black) and I want to make sure that you are successful with your quilt.First, I am so sorry!I do work hard to make sure my patterns are accurate, but unfortunately I made a mistake. :(For the Sunseekers Night, I listed 2 1/2 yds. (90”) and you will actually need 90 1/2” for the quilt or 2 5/8 yds. if rounding up. 2 Strips for the 22” Compass Sunflower x 3 1/4” = 6 1/2” PLUS 2 Squares x 42” = 84” For a total of 90 1/2” Here are the solutions/workarounds for the incorrect yardage.Hopefully this 1/2” difference won’t impact you, but it might and I want to make sure you have what you need to be successful. All I can do is move forward and try to make this right for everyone. Thank you so much for your support and for your understanding. If you received a kit from me…. …you likely only received 90” of Sunseeker Night.*** First, check to see if you might have gotten a bit more than 90” and see if you have 90 1/2” of usable yardage. If you do, you will be okay. If you have not yet started your quilt and you only have 90”, please reach out to me (click on the button below) and I will send you an extra 4” that you can cut one of your 22” Compass Sunflower strips out of, leaving you with enough yardage to finish the quilt as it is in the pattern. If you only have 90” and you have already cut your 22” Compass Sunflower strips, the workaround will be to cut your two Background squares at 41” instead of 42” as shown on Page 3 of your pattern. Then, cut the corner squares at 5” instead of 6”. Using the same steps shown and these different measurements, your finished pieced unit will be 71 1/2” and easily accommodate the center medallion. (If you ordered a kit but have not received it yet, your kit will come with the extra yardage needed.) If you ordered a pattern from me and are getting the fabric elsewhere……please make sure you get 2 5/8 yds. or at least 90 1/2”. Many times yardage is cut an inch or so longer, so you may already have enough yardage if you purchased 2 1/2 yds. If you don’t have 90 1/2”, please read the above solutions. If none of the above works for you, please click on the button below and let me know what will work for you. I will make this right for everyone!!!***When we kit patterns, we always try to add 1” to the needed yardages to be safe. For the Sunseeker Night, we weren’t able to do this and get the needed amount of pieces out of a 15 yard bolt with the added 1”. The cuts likely would have been done differently if I had been figuring with the extra 1/2”. Hindsight is 20/20!
